With nearly three decades of experience in smart buildings, IoT, building management systems (BMS) and connected technologies, Tony has been at the forefront of industry innovation since 1996.
As a strategic partner to leading manufacturers and technology organisations, he has helped develop and commercialise pioneering solutions that have shaped the evolution of smart homes, intelligent buildings and digital infrastructure.
His experience spans the delivery of some of Europe’s largest and most complex technology transformation programmes across commercial, residential, retail and industrial sectors, helping organisations improve performance, enhance customer experiences and unlock new opportunities for growth.

The first team (1989)
It started with £100, to break up an old car. That’s when Tony began thinking: how many cars could he do in a weekend? A light‑bulb moment followed. On Saturday morning he called his friends together and turned it into a challenge—who could strip the car the fastest. He offered £75 for first place, £50 for second, and £30 for the runners‑up. By the end of that first weekend, he’d made £285.


Automotive (1992)
Tony’s passion for the automotive industry continued. He went on to work with several companies, writing and refining code to improve racing performance, and collaborating with teams in the British Touring Car Championship.
This sparked Tony’s first love of software and firmware—remapping code and developing a deeper understanding of Bosch electronic systems.
Education Degree (1994)
Spending time with Bosch and the Electronic Security Industry, Tony decided Electrical and Electronic Engineering was his best path.
Tony was the youngest in his year. Sponsored by USA Car immobiliser manufacturer, Tony completed is HND early continuing his academic path through to Queen Mary University BEng.


Manufacturing (1997)
Travelling to China Tony worked closely with OEM/ODM partners. Tony’s expertise in electronic hardware, firmware, and software was put to the test. His close relationship with suppliers helped the brand drive from $200K – $150m.
Not stopping there, Tony Continued to push technology, IP Telecare, IP Intercom with Smart Home capabilities and Intelligent Building Systems.
Software – Firmware (1998)
Recognising the importance of software, Tony dived back into C++, C# and Linux Kernel 2.4.
From 1999 Tony has worked closely with more than 100 skilled engineers writing the foundations of hardware code still used today.
The international team implemented SIP onto Linux based smart touch screens, the first IP Intercom system in Europe was launched 2004.


Starting a company (2007)
Working with many companies, Tony decided to start his first consultancy company JTN Networks, working for leading and blue-chip brands in the industry.
Compliance standards were one of Tony’s key success when delivering business plans and budgeting cost.
Telecare (2010)
Working alongside a large UK City Council, Tony and his team designed and delivered over 4,700 homes across the 21st Century BT Fibre Network with a Smart Intercom system, IP Telecare ready.
Throughout the following 5 years, Tony help push Telecare into the new world. Design, test and deliver to multiple OEM partners in the industry. Over 4,000 homes across multiple developers, were fitted with pioneering new Smart Home technology.


Innovation Leader (2016)
Working alongside STS Group and the University of Hertfordshire, Tony helped develop innovative smart lighting and climate control solutions that pushed the boundaries of connected building technology.
The initiative led to multiple patent applications, strategic industry partnerships and the successful integration of cloud-connected platforms across a range of residential and commercial environments.
As IoT adoption accelerated, Tony championed a strong focus on cyber security and data protection, helping ensure these intelligent systems remained secure, scalable and future-ready.
AI and Cloud shift (2019)
As the smart home ecosystem scaled across thousands of homes, Tony anticipated the increasing importance of cyber security and artificial intelligence in shaping the future of connected living.
He led initiatives to strengthen platform security, protect customer data and establish a foundation for AI-driven innovation, helping ensure the platform remained secure, scalable and future-ready.


Customer shift (2021)
In 2020, Tony recognised a shift in customer expectations. Organisations were no longer looking for technology alone—they wanted trusted advisors who could translate complexity into clear business value.
By combining a consultative sales approach with emerging AI technologies, Tony created innovative ways for customers to visualise solutions, understand potential outcomes and make informed decisions with confidence.
His ability to simplify complex challenges and focus on measurable business impact has helped organisations embrace innovation, accelerate transformation and achieve their strategic objectives.
